The AirSimmer A320 Family is being developed with three key goals in mind: quality, realism and functionality. With its technical sophistication, sensory accuracy and inch-to-inch precision 3D modeling, the AirSimmer A320 Family allows the SIM pilot to experience flight simulation at a level that's never before been available in a Flight Simulator add-on.

3D Model and Animations
  • CFM and IAE engine models (CFM and PW engines for the A318), exact exterior modeled using official Airbus blueprints.
  • Fully animated models including RAT, APU door, air conditioning inlets/outlets, landing lights, door handles, flexing wings and much more.
  • Control surfaces bound to the appropriate hydraulic systems, properly deactivated in case of failure.
  • Correct emergency gear extension procedure animation
  • Custom effects including water spray and Airbus-specific "double" strobe light effects.
  • Extremely smooth animation for gear and flaps movements.
Virtual Cockpit
  • Latest generation cockpit with LCD screens.
  • Extra high-definition textures and precision modeling 8 times above the resolution limit in FS9.
  • Complete functionality - no fake buttons or switches on the main panel, the overhead and the pedestal.
  • Advanced cockpit animations including two-speed wipers (that actually work), tray tables, opening windows and curtains, jump seats, pilots seats, etc.
  • Fully-modeled passenger cabin different for each aircraft type. With such a detailed cabin, the polygon count is far beyond the maximum possible limit in FS9. The passenger cabin is hidden when the cockpit door is closed to preserve a good frame rate.
  • Multi-stage realistic lighting. Brightness adjustment on all displays, flight instruments and buttons.
  • Wing views (even when the passenger cabin is hidden);  shadow from the aircraft visible from the cockpit and the passenger cabin.
  • Good frame rate allowing full operations from virtual cockpit.

Flight Model
  • Accurate flight model for each model, including custom files for CFM, IAE and PW engine variants
  • Flight dynamics tested by real A320 pilots on a full-motion simulator to provide the most realistic feel
